This Is My Life

This Is My Life is a 1992 American film which was directed by Nora Ephron (and written by Nora & her sister, Delia) based on Meg Wolitzer's book, "This Is Your Life", which was released on February 21, 1992 by 20th Century Fox.

PlotEdit

Divorcee Dottie Ingels (Julie Kavner) works in retail, but really wants to make it as a comedienne.

After receiving an inheritance from her deceased aunt, Dottie decides it's now or never, and moves to New York City with her daughters Erica (Samantha Mathis) & Opal (Gaby Hoffmann).

Before long, Dottie finds success on the stand-up circuit. Unfortunately, this leaves little time to care for her daughters. When Dottie begins dating her manager, Arnold Moss (Dan Aykroyd), it's the last straw for Erica and Opal.
